Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal data Backpick collects through backpick.io and what we do with it. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Who we are
Backpick is run by Razmik Ertsenian, Athens, Greece, who is the controller of your data. Contact: hello@backpick.io.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you join the waitlist, plus your consent and the date you gave it.
- Basic technical data our hosting provider records automatically to run and protect the site (for example IP address and browser type in server logs).
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not sell or rent your data.
Why and on what basis
- To email you when the beta opens and send occasional Backpick updates. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time.
- To keep the site running and secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Who processes it for us
The site and the waitlist form are hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA), which processes the data on our behalf. Transfers to the USA are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Our email is hosted by Papaki in Greece. If we later use an email-sending service, we will update this notice first.
How long we keep it
Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If the beta never launches, we delete the list within 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to its use, or withdraw consent, by emailing hello@backpick.io. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can also complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).
Changes
If this notice changes, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll tell you by email.
